Measured aerial maps for planning, drainage, landscape design and stockpiles; not a substitute for a licensed survey.
Every pilot we connect you with holds an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.

A mapping flight is different from a photo flight. The drone flies a grid at a set height and takes hundreds of overlapping photos. Software stitches them into an orthomosaic, a single top-down map with consistent scale, and can build a 3D model or surface from the same images.
How accurate a drone map is depends on how it's flown. Without ground control, maps are internally consistent but can be shifted on the earth by a few feet. With surveyed ground control points or an RTK-equipped drone, they can line up with real-world coordinates much more closely. Tell us what decisions the map will support, and we'll match you with a pilot whose equipment fits: standard mapping, ground control, RTK or LiDAR.
Drone mapping does not replace a licensed land surveyor. Property boundaries, legal descriptions, plats and engineering design surveys must be done or certified by a professional land surveyor licensed in your state. Many surveyors use drones themselves, and our maps can support their work, but we don't set boundaries.
Mapping is paid work under Part 107. Grid flights cover a large area, so the pilot checks airspace for the whole site, gets landowner permission, and plans around people and roads. LiDAR, which can see the ground under trees, uses specialized sensors and is booked the same way: describe the site and we'll match it to a LiDAR-equipped operator.
Mapping, survey support, RTK and LiDAR jobs anywhere in the US, including Eastern Iowa, are fulfilled by qualified local pilots and mapping firms we connect you with.
These are typical prices pilots and customers report in the US as of October 2026. Real prices vary with location, airspace, travel, editing and pilot experience. They are estimates, not quotes.
| Service | Typical US price | Sources |
|---|---|---|
