Airplane Aerial Photography for Large Sites

Photos from a small plane flown by a licensed pilot, for huge sites, higher altitudes and busy airspace near airports.

Airplane flights are flown by an FAA-certificated pilot. Every drone pilot we connect you with holds an FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate.

Book a Flight

Drones are the right tool for most properties, but they have hard limits. Under Part 107 a drone can't fly higher than 400 feet above the ground, it must stay within the pilot's sight, and it can't fly in controlled airspace near an airport without FAA authorization. For the biggest jobs, a small airplane with a licensed pilot is often the better tool.

When a plane makes more sense than a drone

How it works in Eastern Iowa

Darin Chamberlin books a plane and a licensed, FAA-certificated pilot, and he shoots the photos himself from the aircraft. The pilot handles the flying, the airspace and air traffic control, and Darin concentrates on the light, the angles and the shot list. Outside Eastern Iowa, we connect you with a local aerial photography operator.
