  • Oregon State Parks: since August 8, 2026, drones are allowed only at 20 listed parks, in marked areas. Everywhere else, including the ocean shore, needs a permit, and commercial flights always do (OPRD).
  • Smith Rock State Park is not on Oregon's drone list.
  • Deschutes National Forest is generally open to drones outside designated wilderness, such as the Three Sisters Wilderness, where launching and landing are not allowed (wilderness rules).
